The latest drink to use the acai fruit from Brazil is
Veev, a newly launched liquor. Veev is a 60-proof white spirit that along with acai also contains other antioxidant-containing fruits such as acerola cherry and prickly pear. The company also has a green slant. They donate $1 per bottle to green initiatives such as the Rainforest Action Network and Sambazon's Sustainable Acai Project. The company is also
fine tuning their business practices making changes such as having their sales force drive Toyota Priuses and using soy ink and sustainable packaging for the product, and recycled materials in the office whenever possible. The taste is a little sweeter than a vodka and the liquor so far seems to only be available in California. I haven't tried it yet but the folks at LAist
certainly seemed to enjoy it.

I'm an enthusiastic Açai energy drink believer. I'd love to test market Veev distribution possibilities in the Orlando/daytona Beach area. If there is a way to contact the company I'd like to know.

What about the folks of the East Coast? (Newport, RI - The City By the Sea) Who is the distributor & can they be contacted - obviously there's a huge market out there!
